After reeling off three consecutive victories, the Los Angeles Lakers fell back down to earth when they got embarrassed by the Sacramento Kings.
The Lakers were playing the second night of a back-to-back set, but it doesn’t excuse how flat they looked to start the game.
Los Angeles fell behind by 20 points in the first quarter and were forced to try and come back the entire night.
LeBron James did everything in his power to keep the team within striking distance, but their comeback attempt ultimately fell short.
Anthony Davis looked far from the dominant two-way force he has been this season as he floated throughout the game.
Davis’ poor performance brought back a lot of harsh criticism and Jamal Crawford said he needed to be more consistent to be considered one of the best players in NBA history via SiriusXM.
“To be a Top 75 all-time player, you gotta bring it every single night,” Crawford said.

Crawford argues that it’s concerning that there always seem to be questions about Davis and his nightly effort on the floor.
Although injuries are partly to blame, there’s no reason why Davis can’t be one of the top-five players in the league if he was engaged every game.
At 6-6, the Lakers are still in a decent spot though they’ll need to see more from their star big man if they hope to deliver on their championship aspirations.
Davis always holds himself accountable after bad games, so it’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back.
