The NFL Season has officially begun, beginning a shift in sports media.

The NFL’s popularity is growing globally, and it’s already the most-watched major sport in the United States.

With this season starting, NBA action has taken a backseat in terms of media attention and screen time.

However, NBA players remain hard at work, ready to begin a new season of their own.

Amid the NFL noise, an NBA coach broke through in a conversation about Los Angeles Clippers‘ Russell Westbrook.

In a recent practice, Rico Hines applauded Westbrook’s work ethic in front of other players, saying, “One of the best players to ever play the game of basketball, and he’s in here diving on the floor.”

Hines has been involved in the NBA for more than a decade.

He has been an assistant with the Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, and now, the Philadelphia 76ers.

Hines has seen a lot of players throughout his tenure, working closely with athletes of many different skill sets.

In this conversation with players from around the league, he made sure they took note of Westbrook.

As a young player in the league, it might seem the best thing to do is to try and carve out your path, doing something different than everyone else.

While it may be important to have individual traits that make you stand out, hard work seems to never be unnoticed.

As Hines points out, Westbrook’s ability to never give up and work hard has yielded massive results in his career.
