Fans of every major sport in the United States love to talk about who is the best at a particular position, the best on a team, and of course, the best player of that sport of all time.
This conversation is not unique to the NFL, but fans and analysts tend to talk the most about the quarterback position.
Without a solid quarterback, it is nearly impossible for teams to make a deep run in the playoffs, as they are the presumed leaders of every team.
It is rare to find a franchise starter, and when teams do find them, they tend to hold on tight.
This is why quarterbacks typically get paid more than anyone else on their team.
When talking about the 2024 season, LeSean McCoy recently shouted out the top five quarterbacks in the league, a list that has been viewed as controversial by some.
In this video on ‘Speak’ on FS1, McCoy called out the five best quarterbacks in the NFL by his estimation, which, in order, featured Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, and Matthew Stafford.

While McCoy’s list has a lot of notable names, he did not include Brock Purdy, who has taken the San Francisco 49ers to the NFC Championship for the past two years.
Sure, he hasn’t been able to help them win the big game, but his achievements at his age might indicate that he should be included in this conversation for the foreseeable future.
