The Dallas Cowboys have had some good teams over the past five years or so.

Unfortunately for them, they haven’t been able to get back to the big game, and it’s reached a point where no one else seems to take them as serious Super Bowl contenders.

Notably, a lot of that has had to do with Dak Prescott’s shortcomings.

Prescott has crumbled under pressure when his team has needed him to be the one to lead them, and he’s just not at his best when the running game isn’t doing it’s thing.

That only becomes more evident in the playoffs.

That’s why, when asked about him, former Super Bowl champion LeSean McCoy claimed that he’s just not tough enough.

In his latest appearance on Up & Adams, the former running back stated that teams need their best players to outplay the opposition’s best players in key moments, especially in the playoffs, and that just doesn’t happen with Prescott.

He added that some players have that ‘dog’ in them, and Prescott simply doesn’t seem to have it.

That’s a tough assessment, but history backs it up.

That might be the reason why Jerry and Stephen Jones haven’t been overly eager to meet his steep salary demands.

Paying $60 million a year to win ten games and then go one-and-done in the playoffs might not be the smartest way of doing business, and they might be bracing themselves to move on from him.
