The Detroit Lions experienced great success during the 2022 season, largely due to their offensive output.
Despite not making the playoffs, the Lions established one of the league’s most potent offenses, which was largely unexpected before the season.
The Lions’ offense is led by Jared Goff, who has experienced criticism throughout his career.
Jerry Jacobs, one of the team’s cornerbacks, recently spoke out against this criticism.
“Everybody sleeps on my dog,” Jones said, “I can’t wait for him to go out and prove everybody wrong.”

Goff has experienced scrutiny, despite being one of the league leaders in several passing stats in 2022.
He had the sixth-most passing yards in the league last year, and his 29 touchdown passes trailed just Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Geno Smith.
While Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow are seen as some of the league’s most elite quarterbacks, Goff is routinely regarded as just an average quarterback.
This could be due to a myriad of factors, including the fact that he plays for the Lions.
The Lions have never won the NFC North, and their last playoff appearance was in 2016.
While they don’t have a rich history of making the playoffs, this Lions team proved that their offense could compete with anyone in the league in 2022.
Goff has several elite pass-catchers at his disposal, and the organization has made a concerted effort to keep passing the ball.
The real question is their defense.
If the Lions’ defense is improved from the 2022 campaign, they could find themselves in a favorable position within the NFC.
