The Detroit Lions want to prove that last season’s success wasn’t a fluke and that they will be one of the teams to beat in the NFC for years to come.

Notably, a lot of that will have to do with their defense.

With that in mind, all eyes will be set on Aidan Hutchinson, one of the most talented edge rushers in the game.

The DE got off to an impressive start of his career, logging 21 sacks in two seasons.

He’s also coming off leading the league in total pressures.

However, being just 23 years of age, he still has room for growth and improvement.

That’s why he believes he’s just getting started and even claimed that he’s already taken his game to a whole new level in the offseason (via Brad Galli).

“I definitely feel like I’ve reached a new level this year.”

Hutchinson talked about all the hard work he’s put in over the past couple of months and how he’s ready to take his game even further, adding that the Lions have a chip on their shoulders because of how some people overlooked them last season.

He drew some criticism for his lack of sacks earlier last season.

Nonetheless, he was still an impactful player with his ability to put pressure on the opposing team’s quarterback, constantly shaking off double-teams.

The Lions were pretty close to capping off their breakout campaign with a trip to the Super Bowl, and while they might not be able to replicate that success in 2024, they should still be one of the powerhouses in the league.
