The Detroit Lions have steadily improved since general manager Brad Holmes and head coach Dan Campbell were brought in a couple of years ago.

With Holmes and Campbell in charge, the Lions managed to meaningfully overhaul the roster and establish an identity on both sides of the football.

Detroit is a tough, physical team that relishes the opportunity to wear down opponents and put up points in a hurry.

Jared Goff has found new life on the Lions, while Amon-Ra St. Brown has quickly established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the league.

However, Detroit will also be banking on the growth and development of Jameson Williams who has had a strong offseason.

Recently, Holmes discussed Williams and how much he’s matured both as a player and as a person via the team’s official X account.

“You can clearly see the maturation in his game,” Holmes said.

Detroit originally took Williams No. 12 overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, but the talented wideout didn’t get much of a chance to show what he could do as he recovered from injury.

Last season, Williams showed more and more improvement as the year went on and eventually got his opportunities to contribute.

This season, St. Brown is expected to lead the team in targets and receptions, though Williams will be competing for the No. 2 role.

Williams is a speedy player who can get downfield and stretch a defense, so it’ll be fun to see what he could do with an elevated role within the offense.
