Building a Super Bowl-winning roster is difficult, but keeping it together with the NFL’s salary cap is even tougher.
That’s why all teams need to make tough decisions and let some of their best players go at some point.
Notably, that was the case with the Kansas City Chiefs and L’Jarius Sneed.
As spectacular as Sneed was, they had to make a decision between him and Chris Jones, and their financial situation forced their hand to deal him to the Tennesee Titans.
Contract talks had reportedly stalled, so it wasn’t that big of a surprise.
Now, months after things went down, Sneed admitted that he was bitter and didn’t even want to talk to the Chiefs organization.
Talking on The Pivot, Sneed claimed that the Chiefs were his first love, and he definitely wanted to stay there, which is why he was so bitter about this whole situation.
“I didn’t talk to them, I was bitter…Kansas City was like my first love, they showed me the ways, showed me how to be a champion and gave me 2 rings.” L’Jarius Sneed on his NFL offseason move

Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes repeatedly talked about how sorry they were to watch Sneed leave, not only because of his impact as a lockdown cornerback but also because of his personality.
Sneed will now revamp a Tennessee Titans team that’s expected to take a huge leap forward from Mike Vrabel’s final season in charge of the organization.
The Chiefs, on the other hand, will miss their superstar defensive back as they pursue the first-ever Super Bowl three-peat in NFL history.
Of course, that will be easier said than done, but if someone can make up for that loss, it’s definitely Steve Spagnuolo.
