All good things eventually come to an end, and NBA careers aren’t the exception to that rule.

Not many players manage to stay in the league for over a decade, let alone become impactful and respected veterans.

That was the case with Goran Dragic, who recently announced his retirement from the league, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

After 15 NBA seasons, Goran Dragic is retiring and will play a farewell game in Slovenia in August. The one-time All-Star and Most Improved Player of the Year played 946 NBA games for the Heat, Suns, Rockets, Raptors, Nets, Bulls and Bucks. pic.twitter.com/YaRNqmprn3

Dragic, who was still a free agent, leaves the league after playing 946 career games for the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, and Milwaukee Bucks.

He entered the league in 2008 after being drafted with the No. 45 pick by the San Antonio Spurs, who traded him to the Suns in exchange for cash considerations in addition to the draft rights to Malik Hairston, who was taken three picks later.

In the NBA, he managed to make it to the All-Star Game once in 2018 during his days in Miami.

He also made the All-NBA Third Team and was named the league’s Most Improved Player award in 2014.

Dragic leaves career averages of 13.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.2 three-pointers per game on 45.9% from the floor and 36.2% from beyond the arc, and he’ll play one farewell game in Slovenia in August to walk away from the game in front of his beloved fans.
