With less than two months to go until the Chicago Bears are officially on the clock with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the speculation and rumors are swirling about what might happen on April 25 when it comes to the quarterbacks that will be available.

The consensus as of right now is that Caleb Williams, out of the University of Southern California, will be the top pick in the draft because he’s undoubtedly the best player available.

After Williams is off the table, with the Bears expected to bring him in at No. 1, it starts to get interesting at the quarterback position with a few players that could be taken at No. 2 and No. 3.

Right now, the Washington Commanders expect to go with either North Carolina’s Drake Maye or LSU’s Jayden Daniels with the No. 2 overall pick.

Whichever of these two quarterbacks isn’t taken at No. 2 will likely be taken at No. 3 by the New England Patriots, who desperately need to make a change at the quarterback position.

However, ESPN’s Louis Riddick is hearing that University of Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy might be making some noise and could be taken within the top-five picks in the draft via Mace The Flip Flopper.

With so many teams at the top of the draft needing a quarterback, it isn’t out of the realm of possibility that this happens, or it could just be speculation in order to drive up the prices to make a trade into the top five.

Whatever the case may be, it seems as though there could be some fireworks on draft day.
