Many Texas sports fans were ecstatic on Monday night, including a few Dallas Mavericks superstars.

The Texas Rangers earned their ticket to the World Series after easily overcoming the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series.

Following the game, both Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki hopped on Twitter to celebrate.

Hello World Series! @Rangers

World Series!!!!!!!! @Rangers

Nowitzki has been a huge fan of the team for years and has actually thrown out the first pitch for the Rangers before.

He might be invited to do it again now that the team has again made its way to the World Series.

They want to show the support of their community, including from other sports icons.

As for Doncic, he is a relatively new fan of the team, although he has previously shown his allegiance to the Dallas Cowboys and other Texas teams.

Both Doncic and Nowitzki were spotted at Game 4 of the ALCS so these tweets aren’t that surprising at all.

Even though Doncic is excited to see the Rangers get so far, he might not be able to watch all the World Series games.

The Slovenian star is about to start a very long, very pivotal NBA season.

It all kicks off on Wednesday night, as his Mavericks face off against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

That means that for the second time this week, two major Texas professional sports teams will battle against each other.

And Doncic is hoping that his team is able to pull off a big win just like the Rangers did.
