Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic’s journey in the FIBA Basketball World Cup has come to an end.

His dream of leading Slovenia to the gold medal was cut short by Canada and its plethora of NBA talent.

However, even though Canada beat them fair and square, some questionable calls didn’t go the European’s way, and Doncic made sure to talk about it during his press conference.

Doncic claimed that some of the referees said that they weren’t going to call fouls on Dillon Brooks, adding that it was not fair (via BasketNews).

Ironically, the refs actually ejected Brooks after two technical fouls for talking and taunting.

Doncic was also ejected shortly after for his constant heated complaints.

That has been a recurring issue for the former Real Madrid standout.

As good as he is, he lets his temper get in the way, often missing possessions because he’s getting into the referees’ faces.

Regardless of the rival or the instance, Doncic complains after every single call and no-call, and he should know better and be smarter than that at this point in his career.

Even with the game seemingly out of reach, Slovenia could’ve made a late push with Brooks out of the game.

Doncic struggled to get his shot to fall against Canada’s pesky and physical defense, and he let all the complaints get into his head.

The sky is the limit for one of the most talented players this game has ever seen, but his character won’t do him any favors.
