Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic has become one of the faces of basketball since he broke out at Real Madrid.
His arrival in the NBA was a major sensation, and he’s one of the most popular athletes on Earth right now.
As a matter of fact, even fans in the Philippines were ecstatic to watch him play for Slovenia, with a young couple taking things a little too far.
Following his game vs. Italy, Doncic reached out to a family that was sitting courtside with a sign that read, “Luka, I was named after you.”
Doncic gave them his TCL Player of the Game award, making their day and giving them the experience of a lifetime (via Doncic Manila).

The media has been quick to call out Doncic for his complaining and seemingly unsportsmanlike and spoiled attitude every now and then.
But he’s actually a very loving and caring young man, and this isn’t the first time he has reached out to some fans.
Doncic continues to emerge and surge as one of the best scorers in the game, and he’s expected to lead his team back to the NBA Finals for the first time since the Dirk Nowitzki era.
Mark Cuban made sure to pair him with Kyrie Irving for the long run, and they also added plenty of defenders and depth pieces to make sure he has the supporting cast he needs to go the distance in the playoffs.
Notably, he can rest assured that he’ll have this family in Manila rooting for him.
