Good NBA players get it done in the regular season.

Great players rise to the occasion when it matters the most.

And even though he hasn’t been in the league for that long, Luka Doncic has proven to be a great player already.

The Dallas Mavericks star thrives with his back against the wall, and his team will need him to do so again on Sunday night.

Thus far, Game 2s have been a welcome sight for the Slovenian.

As shown by StatMuse on Twitter, Doncic averages a whopping 31.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 9.7 assists per game on 45.5 from beyond the arc in Game 2s of this playoffs, and he’s gone a perfect 3-0.

That includes a couple of upsets, so it’s not like he’s not used to getting the job done on the road.

As a matter of fact, he knocked down an epic stepback three-pointer over Rudy Gobert to secure a huge win in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.

The Mavericks weren’t at their best in the first game of the series.

Doncic did manage to score 30 points, but he wasn’t particularly efficient, and he only had one assist.

The Boston Celtics did an outstanding job of limiting passing lanes, switching, and keeping the Mavs’ offense in scramble mode for most of the game.

Jason Kidd has made solid adjustments throughout the playoffs, and having one of the best, most clutch, and most talented playoff performers in the game leading the way for him and his team can get them right back in this series.
