Throughout the majority of the NBA playoffs, superstar Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks has been dealing with several different injuries that have, at times, made him questionable to play certain games.
That hasn’t changed during the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Doncic’s status was questionable ahead of Game 2, but he was able to push through and play the game, resulting in a 32-point triple-double, where he dished out 11 assists and ripped down 11 rebounds.
Although Doncic has been able to play through pain during the postseason and throughout the Finals thus far, it is starting to take its toll on the 25-year-old Slovenian, as he reportedly had to take a pain-killing injection before taking on the Celtics in Game 2, according to Malika Andrews and Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
Apparently, Doncic will get another pain-killing shot ahead of Game 3 as well.

With Doncic still somehow being able to play at an elite level while dealing with this pain, it is a true testament to how tough he is and how he can push through the physical anguish in order to give his team the best chance at winning games during the postseason.
Hopefully, for the sake of the Mavericks and their fans, Doncic can continue to play through this pain while being productive on the basketball floor because if he begins to struggle, it might be a foregone conclusion that Boston wins this best-of-seven series.
The Mavericks will play host to the Celtics in Dallas for the first time in the Finals on Wednesday, hoping to get one of the four wins needed to take down Boston.
