The Dallas Mavericks are up in the series.
It wasn’t easy, and it took until the very final possession, but Jason Kidd’s team managed to hold on and secured a huge win in Game 3.
Now, they’re up 2-1 on the No. 1 seed, and they’ve been the better team in back-to-back games now.
With that in mind, a reporter asked Luka Doncic just how confident they were at the moment, and his response was blunt and honest.
After the game, Doncic stated that as stacked and complicated as the Western Conference playoffs are, teams that are there just have to believe.
Also, Doncic didn’t want anybody to get ahead of themselves, stating that they hadn’t done anything yet and that the job wasn’t finished because they still had to win two more games.

The Mavericks are a tough team to beat.
They were one of the best — if not the best — team in the league after the All-Star Break, and they have the defensive personnel to keep other teams away from the rim.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams have played a lot of isolation and hero-ball, and that’s not going to get the job done.
Then again, Mark Daigneault has proven to be a solid tactician, and the Thunder have more than enough depth to shake things up and find some answers to what Jason Kidd’s team has proposed.
This series is far from over, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see the Thunder storm right back in and get the win in Game 4.
