Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks mean business this time.

They’re not here to play around, and they don’t want any distractions.

That’s why, even though they won Game 5 to go up 3-2 on the Los Angeles Clippers, they know they still have plenty of work to do.

With that in mind, Doncic said that there’s nothing to celebrate just yet, adding that they still need to win one more game (via NBA).

“We just gotta win one more, we didn’t do nothing yet.”

Just like the late great Kobe Bryant once said: The job’s not done yet.

That’s the kind of mentality that all stars and players need to embrace at this point in the season; it’s one win at a time.

The Clippers have more than enough firepower to even things up and even come back to win the series, even if Kawhi Leonard isn’t able to play in the next two games.

Paul George hasn’t been at his best since a red-hot start to Game 4, and the Mavericks’ defense has been able to keep their plethora of scorers in check more often than not.

These games haven’t been particularly close at times, with one team running the other off the floor and going on big runs.

Both teams have been unpredictable and inconsistent, so it’s hard to make a prediction or say for a fact that the Mavericks are going to end up on top of the Clippers.

They should be able to get the job done on paper, but paper doesn’t win titles, and that’s why you have to play all games.
