For years, reports and even investigations shed light on how tough some people had it within the Washington Commanders organization.

An alleged toxic and misogynistic workplace culture, followed by never-ending shortcomings on the field and a stadium that’s literally falling apart, eventually led Dan Snyder to sell the team.

Snyder was recently fined $60 million after a league investigation, and the team has officially been sold to a group led by billionaire Josh Harris and NBA legend Magic Johnson.

Notably, the legendary point guard made an appearance on “The Today Show” to talk about how they plan to change the team’s culture going forward.

Besides obviously fixing all the issues that led to this place, Johnson is making it clear that he’ll reach out to the employees to let them know that things have changed and it’ll be a safe place to work now.

Johnson believes respecting the employees and developing a winning culture will be instrumental to finally putting an end to the team’s woes on and off the field.

Magic — who’s found quite the success as a sports team owner — claims this is actually the biggest thing he’s ever done, looking quite excited ahead of this opportunity.

He also claimed that he wouldn’t rule out a potential name change any time soon, adding that “everything is on the table” right now.

It’s an exciting time to be a Commanders fan, and even if they don’t fare that well on the field next season, the future finally seems bright for the organization.
