The New York Knicks finally have the star they had been craving for years.
Jalen Brunson continues to prove that he was a bargain of a signing every single time he sets foot on the court, and he should already be considered one of the best players in franchise history.
The former Dallas Mavericks star is turning heads left and right with his performances in the postseason.
That’s why it wasn’t shocking to see a true NBA legend like Magic Johnson tipping his hat to him.
The legendary point guard raved about Brunson’s 43-point performance to lead his team past the Indiana Pacers and give them a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Notably, Brunson had to take matters in his own hands late in the game, scoring 18 points in the fourth quarter to secure a comeback win.
The Knicks aren’t going to have it easy against an elite offensive team like the Pacers.
They need to make sure to keep their big men off the offensive glass, and they have to find a way to slow down the pace of the game and make sure they play at a slower tempo.
Brunson is their most reliable offensive weapon, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see him putting up even bigger numbers in the days to come, especially if the Pacers keep trying to contain his supporting cast.
He’s already made history by logging four consecutive 40+ point games, and that streak should keep going if he continues to have this mindset.
