The Los Angeles Lakers have been fighting an uphill battle for most of the 2023-24 NBA season.
However, the Lakers have played extremely well in their last two games of the season as they registered back-to-back wins over the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks.
Considering both franchises are having a dominant run in the Eastern Conference, winning against them is certainly a great way to give the Lakers a confidence boost.
Speaking of which, franchise legend Magic Johnson shared his reaction to the Lakers winning streak via his official Twitter handle.
“I love to see the Lakers on a two-game win streak!” Johnson tweeted.

After praising the Lakers’ excellent performance in the last two games, the five-time NBA champion wants the Purple and Gold to continue this terrific play ahead of Kobe Bryant’s statue unveiling.
The Lakers will finally unveil Bryant’s statue on Feb. 08, 2024.
Johnson wants the Lakers to win their next two games against the Charlotte Hornets and Denver Nuggets.
While the Lakers are undoubtedly the favorites to defeat the Hornets, the same cannot be said for their upcoming game against the Nuggets.
But considering the fact that the Nuggets swept the Lakers in the 2023 Western Conference Finals, it will be an epic tribute to the late Kobe Bryant if the Lakers defeat the Nuggets on the same day his statue is being unveiled.
Either way, the primary target for the Lakers should be to continue winning games in the 2023-24 NBA season.
After all, they may be on a two-game winning streak right now, they are still the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 26-25 record this season.
