The Los Angeles Lakers have one of the biggest fan followings in the world.
It has been the result of the Lakers being tied for winning the most NBA Championships in league history, with 17 championship banners hanging in the rafters at the Crypto.com Arena.
NBA legend Magic Johnson contributed to winning five of those 17 titles during his career in the 1980s.
Johnson may be long retired, but he has remained involved with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Speaking of which, Johnson recently shared his expectations for the Lakers in the 2023-24 NBA season via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
“I feel we are the best team, to me, the deepest team in the West, and that makes us, to me, the best team in the West, because we are so deep and so talented,” Johnson said.

Johnson believes the Lakers have the deepest team in the Western Conference right now.
According to the five-time NBA champion, it makes the Purple and Gold one of the most exciting teams to watch next season.
Magic expects huge things from LeBron James and co. in the upcoming season.
To be honest, Magic’s excitement is justified as the Lakers made it to the 2023 Western Conference Finals last season despite struggling in the first half of the season.
Now, they have only improved the roster this offseason.
Moreover, several key players, such as Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and Rui Hachimura, have re-signed with the team as well.
The cherry on the top is the healthy duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis heading into the new season.
Everything points to another championship-winning caliber season from the Lakers.
But can they really do it? Only time will tell.
