The Boston Celtics are currently battling against the Atlanta Hawks in the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
So far, they have a 2-0 lead in the series with Game 3 set for Friday night in Atlanta.
It’ll be a big game for the team and a heralded homecoming for Celtics star Malcolm Brogdon.
Brogdon, who was born and raised in Atlanta and will always consider it home, made an interesting comment about the Hawks fanbase.
“Historically the fans haven’t been the most dedicated, and that includes myself growing up here,” Brogdon told the press, according to NBC Sports Boston.

Over the last few years, fans of the Hawks have had a lot to be happy about – even though the team has yet to reach its true potential.
Sadly, they have come up short many times since moving to Atlanta in the 1968-69 season.
The franchise has secured one Finals victory, but that was back when it still resided in St. Louis.
Fans of the Hawks were excited when this season began, especially because the front office had added the talent of Dejounte Murray to the already-promising roster featuring Trae Young, Clint Capela, John Collins, and others.
But the team ended up being the seventh seed, which was far from what loyal followers expected.
Now they are fighting for their lives in the first round and many analysts predict the Celtics will defeat them.
If that happens, big changes could be coming for the Hawks.
They recently replaced their head coach but the roster itself may experience an overhaul this summer if they come up short.
