How will Klay Thompson’s life be different now that he’s playing with the Dallas Mavericks?
According to Mavericks mastermind Mark Cuban, the team’s offense will cater to him much more.
Speaking with Jalen Brunson, per NBACentral, Cuban said the team will set Thompson up for more success in the seasons ahead.
He noted that the Mavericks have an offensive scheme that works differently than what Thompson was used to with the Golden State Warriors.
Instead of being on the move so much, Thompson will be able to find his spot, post up, wait for the ball, and put up a catch-and-shoot three-pointer.
Even with all his troubles, Thompson is still praised for his catch-and-shoot abilities.

That is obviously not the only change that Thompson will adjust to in the new season.
He will be playing with a different team with totally different skills and weak spots.
It is in this environment that Thompson can start a new chapter in his career and rebound after a troubling final season with the Warriors.
Playing alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving could be just what Thompson needs, allowing him to get better looks and focus on the sort of shooting he is celebrated for.
This could be great for Thompson but also excellent for the Mavericks as well.
If Doncic, Irving, and Thompson are all shooting to the best of their abilities, they will be incredibly hard to slow down.
They already had perhaps the best backcourt in the conference and it could get even better if Thompson is looking good again.
He has a lot to prove, and a lot to gain, in Dallas.
The next phase of Thompson’s career begins in less than two months.
