Mark Jackson Clarifies Report About Getting Fired

The New York Knicks have been poorly run for years now, which is why the fans have urged James Dolan to just sell the team over and over.

That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that President Leon Rose had banned Jackson from flying on the team’s plane, which led to Jackson not finalizing a deal to become a color commentator for the Knicks on MSG Network.

Jackson was nearing an agreement to fill in for Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier on the road, as the veteran was trying to cut back on his workload.

The report stated that Rose’s decision to ban Jackson from the Knicks’ plane was due to a fallout he had with Knicks’ assistant coach Darren Erman back in 2014 when they worked together with the Golden State Warriors.

Erman reportedly secretly recorded Jackson and other players, which led to his firing.

However, it seems like there was more to it than what was said.

That’s why the former PG took to Instagram to dismiss this story, talking about being sick and tired of all the constant rumors and fake news around him and stating that he simply declined the opportunity because it wasn’t right for him at the time.

There was little financial incentive for Jackson to take the deal if he had to fly commercially.

Then again, this was yet another bad look for the Knicks, and one of the reasons why they can’t seem to land top-notch free agents despite their great aura, unmatched market, and diehard fan base.
