The NFL is full of many elite players.

One position group that has stars emerge each year is wide receiver.

In recent years, we have seen many rookies have success the moment they step onto an NFL field.

Also, now that the NFL has transitioned to a passing league, you need good wide receivers to stay competitive.

One cornerback who has covered all types of wide receivers in his career is Marlon Humphrey of the Baltimore Ravens.

He came out with his list of the four toughest wide receivers to guard via his “Punch Line” podcast.

On that list, he has Antonio Brown, Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, and Justin Jefferson.

Humphrey squared off with Brown during the receiver’s time with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brown was one of the most dominant players in the league during the 2010s.

Even though he has tarnished his reputation, many still recognize him as one of the best receivers of all time.

The other three Humphrey mentioned are all active wide receivers.

Each is known for having a different type of skill set.

Adams is an elite route-runner who has dominated opposing cornerbacks for many years, while Hill is most known for his elite speed.

Once he gets by a defender there is no catching up to him.

Jefferson is the youngest of the group but has already established himself as one of the best in the sport.

He has never had a season under 1,400 receiving yards.

Each of these receivers is on the shortlist of best in the NFL.

So it is no surprise that Humphrey would put them on his list.
