The New York Knicks made a huge move by trading for OG Anunoby.
They’re expected to stay active in the market for other potential moves.
However, not everything is smooth in the Big Apple.
Apparently, Quentin Grimes isn’t happy with his playing time — or lack thereof — and is desperate for a fresh start, according to a report by NBA insider Stefan Bondy (via NBA Central).
Bondy adds that the Dallas Mavericks are keeping tabs on the combo guard’s situation and that his fall-out with Tom Thibodeau dates back to last season, as he couldn’t suit up to play in the last two playoff games vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers because of a shoulder injury.
Quentin Grimes is reportedly frustrated in New York and the Knicks are ‘actively’ trying to trade him, per @SbondyNBA

Tom Thibodeau is known for being tough on players and never bringing them back from his doghouse, so leaving could be the best — and only — choice for Grimes.
Player development has never been Thibodeau’s strength, as he clearly doesn’t trust young players.
Grimes hasn’t exactly done a lot to earn more playing time or put the coach in a better spot, either, but he’s still young and could be had at a reasonable price and in a team-friendly contract for years to come.
So, if the Mavs are indeed interested in his services and looking for depth, they could most likely get him for cheaper compensation.
