Over the last few decades, the NBA has changed a lot.
Gone are the days when teams used to have single superstars leading them to glorious runs in the playoffs.
Nowadays, every organization in the NBA tries to get at least two NBA All-Star-level players on their roster to have an impact during the season.
Speaking of which, the Dallas Mavericks are certainly blessed in that department as they have two superstars on the roster in Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
While both players are elite, Mavericks rookie Dereck Lively II explained a key difference between the two superstars, via Tidal League on Twitter.
“Kyrie has the deepest bag for sure, but like Luka, you just can’t do anything,” Lively said.

Lively hailed Irving as the player with arguably the deepest bag of skills on the team.
Over the years, Irving has certainly lived up to that reputation with his insane moves during games.
In the 2023-24 NBA season, Irving is averaging 23.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game for the Mavericks.
On the other hand, Lively believes Doncic has a certain aura around him, which makes it impossible for opposing players to guard him.
As for his stats, Doncic is averaging 30.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.1 assists per game for the Mavericks this season.
Thanks to the combined brilliance of the two superstars, the Mavericks are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 9-5 record.
But if the Mavericks want to lift the prestigious Larry O’Brien trophy this season, they need to be even better as the 2023-24 campaign progresses.
