Luka Doncic has received a significant amount of criticism throughout the NBA Finals.
After being a massive contributor in the Dallas Mavericks’ Western Conference Finals win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Doncic hasn’t necessarily played his best against the Boston Celtics.
As a result of underperforming, Doncic has received a lot of criticism from fans and analysts alike, who have called for him to make some major changes.
His play in Game 4 was certainly impressive, but with the Mavericks down 3-1 in the series, it might have been too late for him to surge.
After hearing all of the criticism surrounding his teammate, Josh Green appeared on Sirius XM NBA Radio, trying to defend him against these claims.
“At the end of the day, the team trusts him,” Green said.

Green believes that, despite all of the noise, the Mavericks trust Doncic as a leader and teammate.
He has made an incredible impact on the franchise to this point, and whether or not the Mavericks can come back and win this series, fans can take comfort in knowing he will be back next season.
Assuming the Celtics win the Finals, the Mavericks will have a few key decisions to make in the offseason.
They can decide to try and keep this current roster together, knowing they were good enough to make it to the Finals.
Or, they can also try to acquire another piece for this roster, adding one more superstar alongside Doncic and Kyrie Irving, hoping they can help bring them over the hump.
