The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the National League West division in nine of the last 10 seasons.
The team has reached the postseason in each of those seasons.
Their start to the 2023 season hasn’t been as dominant as they would have hoped for, especially after losing shortstop Gavin Lux for the season due to a torn ACL.
But the Dodgers came into Oracle Park in San Francisco and busted out the lumber, scoring nine runs to defeat the San Francisco Giants.
Max Muncy also supplied some power, hitting two home runs.
His first homer came in the top of the first inning and was a three-run shot.
On Twitter, the Dodgers posted a video of the moment Muncy went deep.

Muncy’s first home run helped the Dodgers extend their lead to 4-0 in the first inning and put the game out of reach early.
However, the veteran slugger wasn’t done just yet.
In the top of the seventh, Los Angeles led by a score of 5-1 and had the bases loaded.
Muncy came to the plate and hit a grand slam to make it a 9-1 game.
The Dodgers went on to win by that score.
Muncy went 3-for-3 with two home runs and seven RBI on the night.
The Dodgers improved to 6-5 on the season and kept pace with the Arizona Diamondbacks, remaining tied with the San Diego Padres for second in the division, just one game out of first place.
The series will continue on Tuesday night, with Dustin May drawing the start.
