The Texas Rangers are hoping Game 3 of the World Series can be a lot better than the previous two games.
Even though they won Game 1, the Diamondbacks outplayed them for eight innings.
Now with the World Series tied at one game apiece, the Rangers are hoping to play much better.
In Game 3, Texas will send Max Scherzer to the mound.
He is 38 years old but has plenty of postseason experience.
Even though he has pitched poorly in these playoffs, the Rangers feel comfortable sending him out there.
According to MLB Network, Scherzer has been great against the Diamondbacks in his career.
He has made 12 starts against them and has a record of 9-0 with a 2.65 ERA.

If Scherzer can pitch great again that would be great news for the Rangers.
They need him to give them length and add another legendary performance to his resume.
The Rangers offense needs a bounce-back performance in Game 3.
They scored one run in Game 2, as the Diamondbacks pitching staff dominated them.
Arizona will start rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt in Game 3.
He has been good in the postseason but is still very inexperienced.
Texas has a chance to reclaim home-field advantage with one win in Arizona.
More importantly, they need one win in Arizona to keep the series alive.
Scherzer has only thrown in two games this postseason.
He spent a while recovering from a shoulder injury that was expected to keep him for the whole postseason.
If Scherzer has anything left in the tank, he needs to leave it on the field in Game 3.
