Before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, the Las Vegas Raiders were a staple in Oakland, California, and one of the most iconic sports franchises in the Bay Area, along with the San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and Golden State Warriors.

Even though the Raiders have an avid fanbase in Oakland that spans generations and decades, the team wasn’t making any money in the Bay Area and needed to make a move, but were unable to be one of the two teams to go to Los Angeles despite having more fans that the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers combined in the City of Angels.

Ultimately, longtime owner Mark Davis was able to secure a deal to move to Sin City and get a brand-new state-of-the-art stadium, which the franchise couldn’t resist.

A few years later, the move turned out to be a resounding success, even though the Raiders struggled with opposing fan bases that found it easier to travel to Las Vegas rather than Oakland, which divided home games.

Despite this move being a good thing for the franchise, star defensive end Maxx Crosby recently reflected on the difference he’s seen between playing in the two cities with the Raiders via The OGs Show.

“It’s a little bit more bougie, for sure,” Crosby said. “You got the club in the endzone and s*** like that. It’s just different.”

Crosby is arguably the one player that has benefited the most from the move to Las Vegas as he has become a household name in the NFL with more eyes being on the team while he becomes one of the best defensive players in the league.

However, he clearly misses the atmosphere of the Coliseum in Oakland, a sentiment shared by the Raiders’ avid fan base.
