After acquiring superstar wide receiver Davante Adams in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, the Las Vegas Raiders were expected to take it to another level during the 2022 NFL season while competing in what was thought to be the most competitive division in the league.
Although the Raiders were sorely lacking in many different areas on the defensive side of the football, Las Vegas seemed to have all the tools to make it to the NFL playoffs, with a new head coach Josh McDaniels bringing a fresh perspective to Sin City.
Unfortunately, everything fell apart for the Raiders in 2022, as nothing seemed to go right, especially when the team had big leads in games.
If the Raiders had come through in those games with substantial leads, it would be a different story, but that wasn’t the case, and the team finished the season with a losing record of 6-11.
Coming into the 2023 campaign, the Raiders have made some drastic changes, and star defensive end Maxx Crosby hopes that results in a playoff run because he’s sick and tired of losing, via Dov Kleiman.

As arguably the best player on the team, Crosby’s frustration level has gotten a little higher heading into this season after going through a disappointing 2022 campaign, where the defense in Las Vegas got the bulk of the blame for their struggles.
Clearly, Crosby is determined to lead his team to the playoffs in 2023 and might have a decent shot to do so if the Raiders play well on defense.
Throughout training camp thus far, the Raiders have made a lot of noise defensively, which could bode well for them during the upcoming season, especially after the arrival of star cornerback Marcus Peters.
