Maxx Crosby, the Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher, is a monster, and he showed why during a recent practice.
Many are picking the Raiders to miss the playoffs again this season, but they do have a talented rookie tight end in Michael Mayer, who was a second-round pick in April’s draft.
Crosby delivered a brutal hit on Mayer that served as his welcome into the NFL, via Bleacher Report.

Mayer played three seasons at Notre Dame, and last season, he had 809 yards and nine touchdowns for the Fighting Irish.
The Raiders are hoping he will help replace the production of Darren Waller, who is now with the New York Giants, and Foster Moreau, who moved on to the New Orleans Saints.
Crosby, meanwhile, had his best season in 2022, posting 12.5 sacks, 36 quarterback hits, and a league-high 22 tackles for loss.
That production earned him his second straight Pro Bowl nod.
Crosby will play a large role in helping to improve a defense that ranked 26th in points allowed and 28th in total yards allowed last season, especially with the latest saga surrounding defensive end Chandler Jones.
Jones recently went on a tirade against Las Vegas, and he is currently not with the team, which has put his status for its Week 1 contest versus the Denver Broncos in question.
The Raiders were a disaster throughout the 2022 campaign, as their Super Bowl hopes dissolved into a 6-11 finish amidst multiple blown leads and close losses.
With new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, they’re hoping to pleasantly surprise a lot of people.
