The NFL Draft is a little over a month away and teams are already putting their boards together in preparation.

Like most years, everyone wants to find out where the quarterbacks will be selected.

One name that is being talked about a lot is Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

He has been gaining steam during the draft process and seems like a good bet to be a first-round pick.

Many are speculating on how high he will go in the first round.

NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. talked about how tough it was to evaluate McCarthy.

“He to me is kind of a wild card,” Kiper said. “I’m waiting for him to have that game where you say he’s a top-five pick, he’s a top-10 pick.”

Michigan was the best team in college football this past season as they went undefeated and won the national title.

They were a run-first team and McCarthy was never asked to do much as a passer.

One team that has been linked to him is the Minnesota Vikings.

McCarthy may be asked to start Week 1 for whatever team drafts him.

We have seen many teams ruin a quarterback in their first year.

Whoever drafts McCarthy must have a plan in place to make sure that does not happen to him.
