Star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is one of three Dallas Cowboys stars who are due for a sizable contract extension, and as a result, he has been holding out of Cowboys training camp.
This situation has the potential to torpedo the season of one of sports’ most famous franchises, and thus it is possible that this will be its last season together as presently constituted.
But pass rusher Micah Parsons, another one of those stars due for an extension, is confident Lamb will soon be on the field and ready for the start of the regular season.

Lamb has emerged into arguably one of the five best wideouts in the NFL, and in 2023, he ranked second in receiving yards (1,749) and receiving touchdowns (12) while leading everyone with 135 receptions.
The University of Oklahoma product has been a big reason why Dallas has won 12 games in each of the last three regular seasons.
There have been some reports that Dallas has offered Lamb a contract that would be the second-richest ever given to a wide receiver, but right now, there is simply lots of uncertainty about the contract situations of Lamb, Parsons and quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott, in particular, is heading into the final year of his contract, and there has been talk that the team will have him simply play out that final year and then let him become a free agent next March.
If that happens, this could be the last shot the Cowboys get at winning the Super Bowl championship in quite a while.
