The Baltimore Ravens were supposed to be on their way to Las Vegas by now.
They were 3.5-point favorites at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, yet they couldn’t get the job done when it mattered the most.
Notably, NFL legend Michael Irvin placed some of the blame on Lamar Jackson.
Talking on Undisputed, the controversial pundit claimed that Jackson’s biggest strength became his demise in that game.
He explained that Jackson should’ve run for over 150 yards, adding that he felt just too comfortable in the pocket.
“Lamar Jackson should’ve had 150 yards rushing yesterday,” Irvin said.

Irvin stated that it was great to see Jackson become more of a passer and stay in the pocket during the regular season, but he should’ve used his legs to get first downs in this game, as he often settled for making long and forced throws when the opening was there.
He added that if Tom Brady and Peyton Manning had his legs, they would’ve also run for those plays.
Irvin thinks that Jackson overdid the passer thing instead of using his ability to scramble.
For years, people had questioned Jackson’s ability to get the job done in the playoffs and win with his style of play.
They called him a running back and questioned his ability to throw the football and thrive as a passer.
Perhaps that finally got into his head and he over-adjusted.
At the end of the day, one cannot put the blame on a single person for the loss, but it definitely feels like the soon-to-be MVP left something to be desired in this game.
