Positional debates in the NFL will always be hotly contested because of how everyone views the game.
Some pundits believe one attribute or accolade is more important than the other – such as Super Bowl titles vs. personal records.
But for Fox Sports analyst Michael Irvin, the conversation is a little more personal considering his Hall of Fame career with the Dallas Cowboys as a wide receiver.
He revealed his Mount Rushmore of wideouts – himself included – and noted that he wouldn’t trade his career with any receiver except for San Francisco 49ers wideout Jerry Rice, who he also said is the greatest receiver of all-time.
“Jerry Rice is the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game.” Irvin said Friday on “Undisputed.”

Three of the four members of that list – Rice, Irvin, and Cowboys receiver Drew Pearson – all won a Super Bowl.
But the final member of that list – Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill – is Irvin’s fourth because of how Hill “altered” the position and because he is “the whole system” for his offense.
Rice, though, is very clearly the cream of the crop at the position.
He was a 13-time Pro Bowler and 10-time All-Pro after 21 NFL seasons, 16 of which were with the 49ers, and remains the NFL all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
Rice’s accolades will be hard to top and he also has three Super Bowl rings with San Francisco.
So while Irvin’s and Pearon’s careers are over, Hill still has chances to improve his Hall of Fame resume – especially if he becomes the first wideout to break 2,000 yards in a single season.
