The NFL has turned into a league that is driven by quarterbacks.
While the quarterback position has always been considered important, it has become increasingly valuable.
After all, quarterbacks have won the league’s MVP award for the past ten years.
With this in mind, Michael Vick joined Robert Griffin III on a recent podcast, where he outlined his current top five at the position.
Vick named Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Brock Purdy, Patrick Mahomes, and Jalen Hurts as the best quarterbacks in the league.

While this list shouldn’t surprise many fans, having Purdy in his top five might ruffle a few feathers.
Purdy was a seventh-round draft pick in 2022, a player many have differing opinions on.
He has worked himself into the MVP conversation this season, but many have soured on Purdy after his recent performance against the Baltimore Ravens.
Allen is another quarterback who has received mixed reviews throughout the year.
He and the Buffalo Bills started the year slowly, but they have turned things around, resulting in them still vying for a playoff spot.
Regardless of how fans feel about this list, Vick has made up his mind about his favorite quarterbacks in the league.
As a former NFL quarterback, he has a pulse as to what is going on and understands what it takes to be an elite player at the position.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out, and if these five players can continue to play to Vick’s standards.
