The New York Knicks made one of the biggest moves of the offseason.
Some might say that they overpaid to get Mikal Bridges, but they could afford to do so with all the assets they had, and he’s a tailor-made fit for what they do on and off the court.
The Knicks have developed unmatched chemistry and discipline.
Add Tom Thibodeau’s hard-nosed coaching and defensive expertise, and you have yourself a very tough team.
That’s why legendary commentator Mike Breen likes their chances against anybody.
Talking on Mark Jackson’s podcast, Breen praised the Knicks for playing the game the way it’s supposed to be played (via New York Basketball).
“…Some nights the ball’s on a string as it goes around & touches everybody, it’s so beautiful to watch, it’s the way the game’s supposed to be played…strength in numbers…When you get a group like this…on any given night they can beat anybody…”

He claimed that everybody loves, respects, and — more importantly — trusts each other, so the ball finds everybody and all players are involved on both ends of the floor.
He thinks there’s no ego or hidden agendas, and they also have shown the utmost trust and respect in their coaching staff.
Talent-wise, Breen also likes what the Knicks have, but he thinks that their ‘strength in numbers’ approach to the game is what truly sets them apart.
The Knicks are looking to do something pretty cool and unique.
Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo, Jalen Brunson, and Mikal Bridges have already won a championship together in college, and their chemistry is most definitely unmatched.
On top of that, Brunson took more than $100 million less to give the team flexibility to stay competitive and build for the future; no one does that, and hopefully, the basketball gods will reward him for that.
