The 2023-2024 NBA season was a whirlwind for the Indiana Pacers.
Despite the preseason expectations many placed on this team, they found a way to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics.
They had a long road to get to that point, but their success has not been taken lightly.
One of the most surprising characteristics of this team is their youth, as they had several young players take strides throughout the year, especially in the playoffs.
Tyrese Haliburton was the team’s best player for the majority of the season, but he got injured in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
With this in mind, the Pacers needed someone to step up, a call that Andrew Nembhard gladly answered.
After seeing his performances in Games 3 and 4, analyst Mike Breen said, “Nebmhard is a future star,” according to NBA Central.

Despite the Celtics sweeping this series, Nembhard showcased his skills with Haliburton out.
He scored 56 points in the final two games of the series, and he also had 19 assists and 10 rebounds.
This is a great sign for the Pacers, as Nembhard is only 24 years old and could carry this momentum into the 2024-2025 season, making the Pacers that much more dangerous.
The Eastern Conference isn’t getting any easier in the near future, but the Pacers can be confident in the fact that they should be able to compete.
