The San Francisco 49ers are playing hard to get regarding Brandon Aiyuk.
They seem either unwilling or unable to meet his steep salary demands, yet they don’t seem to want anybody else having him, either.
The Niners have turned down multiple generous offers for their star wide receiver, and multiple teams have all but ruled themselves out of the race already.
The Washington Commanders and New England Patriots tapped out, all while the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers are still in contention.
As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they’re still interested in getting him, albeit at a fair price.
With that in mind, Mike Golic claimed that Aiyuk should weigh in on the team’s offense before a trade.
He thinks that the Browns are the better fit for him from a coordinator and offensive philosophy standpoint, as Kevin Stefanski will look to throw the football early and often, whereas the Steelers are more likely to be a run-heavy team with Arthur Smith (Via DraftKings Network).
What’s a better landing spot for Brandon Aiyuk: Pittsburgh or Cleveland?
“To me it seems like Cleveland would be the better option from a team standpoint & an offensive standpoint.” @golic

On paper, the Browns are a better fit for him, but it remains to be seen if they’re willing to pay him north of $30 million a year, not to mention everything it would take to get him.
Also, the Browns already have a clear-cut WR1 in Amari Cooper, although the fact that they didn’t sign him to a long-term deal may suggest that they’re not sold on him as an option for the future.
The Niners will have to meet someone in the middle and agree to a reasonable offer for their troubled wideout.
If not, he’s just not going anywhere.
