The Olympics were full of many incredible sports moments, including the most memorable shot in basketball history.

That is according to Mike Greenberg, who claimed Steph Curry’s final three-pointer over Team France in the gold medal game is the best of the best.

According to a video shared by Awful Announcing, per NBACentral, Greenberg said that the shot would have been “terrible” if attempted by anyone else, but it was magical in Curry’s hands.

The difficulty of that shot and the stakes of the game make this bucket more memorable than any others that came before it.

Greenberg warned viewers about how things could have gone if Curry hadn’t made those amazing three-pointers in the game.

If France ended up on top in the end, it would have been a major shock and the biggest upset of the Olympics.

Everyone expected the Americans to win it all this year and if they didn’t people would be talking a lot about how they fell short.

It would have been seen as a gigantic disappointment.

But it didn’t happen that way, partly because Curry was just so unstoppable from beyond the three-point line during the fourth quarter.

Curry has made many shots like this throughout his historic career but none have been on such a big stage in such a major moment.

This shot was a summation of the sort of player he is and the kind of skills he has.

It was also a clear reminder of why he is considered the greatest shooter of all time.
