The 2024 NBA playoffs have been electric despite some short series as the talent pool in the league is arguably the best it’s ever been.
Although older superstars like LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry are no longer in the postseason, the NBA has seen stars like Nikola Jokic, Jayson Tatum, and Luka Doncic hold things down.
After them, though, the next crop of young superstars have taken the stage and haven’t looked afraid of the challenge.
Minnesota Timberwolves ace Anthony Edwards has taken the playoffs by storm as he dominated the first round against the Phoenix Suns and later demolished the Denver Nuggets in Game 1.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the bracket, Paolo Banchero’s been showing why he was worthy of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft as he’s led the Orlando Magic in a competitive first-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Edwards and Banchero represent the next wave of stars and Mike Greenberg couldn’t help but marvel at the two, via his personal Twitter account.
“Watching Ant last night and Paolo today it’s like we’re watching the future arrive in real time. The changing of the guard in the NBA is real and the future is insanely talented,” Greenberg tweeted.

The league is spoiled with how much young and up-and-coming talent there is and Edwards and Banchero look like they’ll be fixtures in the playoffs for the long haul.
With how young they are, fans should be excited about the prospects of them leading the way for the short and long-term.
