There is a lot of pressure on New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh this season.

Finally, he has a competent quarterback in the form of a healthy, all-time great quarterback in Aaron Rodgers.

Before this season, Saleh has coached the Jets to records of 4-13, 7-10, and 7-10.

He has always been a great defensive coach, but he hasn’t been able to coach a great offense in New York.

With Rodgers healthy again and in the fold, 2024 should be a great year.

However, if the season is a failure this year, there are plenty of quality head coaches out there that could replace him.

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg recently shared his thoughts via “The Pat McAfee Show” on who he’d like to take over as head coach of the Jets if Saleh fails this year.

“My first choice for the Jets’ next coach would be Mike Vrabel. I still can’t believe Tennessee fired him. I am a huge Vrabel fan,” Greenberg said, via NFL on ESPN.

Before getting fired by Tennessee earlier this offseason and becoming a consultant with the Browns, Vrabel was rolling along with the Titans.

In fact, he turned the franchise around.

After getting hired in 2018, he would go on to lead the team to the playoffs in four of his six years there.

They won the AFC South twice and made an AFC Championship Game appearance in 2019.

As a player, Vrabel won three Super Bowls as apart of the early days of the Patriots’ dynasty.

Additionally, he was a First-Team All-Pro.

If the Jets wanted to find somebody to replace Saleh, Vrabel would be a great hire.
