The Miami Dolphins have made strides in the last few years to turn themselves into contenders in the AFC.
They have made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons since the start of the century.
It is partly because of the relationship between head coach Mike McDaniel and franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa that has made the engine go in Miami.
McDaniel recently spoke in front of the Miami media about his relationship with Tagovailoa and how he has seen his quarterback lead.
“As coachable as any player as I’ve ever been around and a freakish learner…You’re led by the quarterback,” McDaniel said.

It is clear from those words that the bond between the two is stronger than ever.
In each of the last two seasons, Tagovailoa has led the NFL in either passer rating or passing yards.
The Pro-Bowler has had a passer rating of over 100 in back-to-back seasons and is coming off his best statistical season in terms of passing yards (4,624) and touchdown passes (29).
Offensively, Tagovailoa has arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the league in eight-time Pro-Bowler Tyreek Hill and 1,000-yard receiver Jaylen Waddle.
The offense will be getting some reinforcements this year in the form of talented, young running back De’Von Achane and former Pro Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
With what McDaniel has shown as a head coach early on and with his offensive background, Miami may have a real chance to be one of the best teams in football in 2024.
But at the end of it all, the key ingredient is the strong bond between head coach and quarterback.
