The Miami Dolphins know there’s no more room for error.
They spent plenty of money on Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle, and with Mike McDaniel entering his third year as head coach, it’s officially time they get over the hump and win at least one playoff game.
Unfortunately for them, they’re currently dealing with several injuries at wide receiver.
Waddle himself has had to miss some time recently, sparking concerns among the fanbase.
Nonetheless, McDaniel claimed that the ailment was ‘minor,’ and while he didn’t elaborate further, he made it seem as if keeping him off of the field was just precautionary (via Adam Beasley).

The third-year coach called Waddle one of the toughest wide receivers he’s had the opportunity to coach.
Even so, he wants to make sure that he gets the season started on the right foot, so that’s why they’re taking an overly cautious approach with him.
Braxton Berrios and Odell Beckham Jr. have also been on the shelf for most or all of training camp.
That’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see that they just signed University of Miami product Mike Hartley Jr. to give them some much-needed depth at wide receiver while the rest keep nursing their injuries.
The Dolphins have the best wide receiver tandem in the league, and as such, they must make sure that they’re at full strength for when it actually counts and not just for the preseason or start of the season.
