The Denver Broncos and New York Jets may not like each other this season.

It all started with Broncos coach Sean Payton absolutely ripping Nathaniel Hackett’s failed tenure in charge of the organization, stating that he’s going to do the entire opposite of what he heard and adding that it was one of the worst coaching jobs in the league’s history.

And even though he apologized for those comments later, there was still no love from Aaron Rodgers and the Jets organization.

Rodgers fired back at Payton by calling him insecure and out of line and predicting he would be setting himself up for failure if he failed to back up those words on the field.

Needless to say, people have taken sides in this feud already, which is why Pittsburgh Steelers HC Mike Tomlin wants to make sure the league puts their Week 5 clash on national television so everybody can see what they’re all about (via Dov Kleiman).

Notably, Hackett is one of Rodgers’ closest friends in the league, so it wasn’t surprising to see him come out in his defense.

Truth be told, Hackett did have one of the worst coaching jobs in NFL history; it just wasn’t Payton’s place to say it.

Fans and analysts speculated that the Broncos only hired Hackett to get Rodgers in the first place — which could also be the reason why the Jets hired him as offensive coordinator despite last year’s debacle — and it’ll be interesting to see who gets the last laugh in this rivalry.
