The Pittsburgh Steelers have made several moves throughout the offseason that could have a massive impact on the organization during the 2024 season.

One of the most notable was adding two new quarterbacks to their roster, Justin Fields and Russell Wilson.

Wilson and Fields might have been the most impactful on-field moves, but the Steelers also got a new offensive coordinator.

The front office seemingly wanted to shake things up moving forward, especially since the past few years haven’t been the kindest to the Steelers’ offense.

They hired Arthur Smith for this role, who was coming off getting fired by the Atlanta Falcons.

While this move was highly questioned by fans and analysts at the time, Mike Tomlin seems to be excited about having Smith on his staff.

As reporter Jarrett Bailey recently mentioned on Twitter, Tomlin told reporters, “I’ve competed against him… I know what he puts into the job.”

Tomlin believes that Smith is the right person for this role and that the Steelers offense will look better with him in charge.

Besides Wilson and Fields, the Steelers have several other skill-position players that should help put this change into motion.

George Pickens, Pat Freiermuth, Najee Harris, and Jaylen Warren have all showcased their skills in recent years.

If they can click with their new quarterbacks in Smith’s offense, there’s no telling how well this team can perform in 2024 and beyond.

Tomlin remains confident in what this team can do, and after never having a losing record as a head coach, it’s hard to disagree with him.
