The Golden State Warriors are currently trying to prove everybody wrong.

Although they are still the reigning champions of the NBA, the team has suffered a very difficult season and attained a 44-38 record as the playoffs begin.

They are the sixth seed in the West, which means they have their work cut out for them if they wish to win it all.

But they also have history on their side.

Head coach Steve Kerr has never lost to a Western Conference opponent in the playoffs.

The only losses that his team has encountered in the postseason are against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 Finals and the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 Finals.

Of course, there have been two years during his tenure when the Warriors never made the postseason.

But whenever they are able to reach the playoffs, they storm through all competition in the West.

That’s an impressive record.

But all records are meant to be broken.

Therefore, many are wondering if this is the year when the Warriors are defeated by a foe in their conference.

The team has struggled again and again throughout the year, especially against opponents on the road.

But their level of postseason experience is immense and they still have some of the most accomplished players in the league.

Their first opponent in the playoffs will be the Sacramento Kings, who have enjoyed a resounding comeback year.

Still, there is a growing chorus of fans throughout the league who feel that the Warriors could overtake the Kings and begin yet another unstoppable march to the NBA Finals.
