Baseball is, more than ever before, a global game.

We all saw the excitement that the 2023 World Baseball Classic (WBC) generated in the United States, Japan, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, the Czech Republic, Israel, and the entire Caribbean region.

After an exciting first half, the 2023 MLB All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday and will feature lots of star power from around the globe.

According to MLB, there will be 32 internationally-born players in the Midsummer Classic.

MLB’s feature image for the tweet includes Japanese star Shohei Ohtani, Cuban-Mexican outfielder Randy Arozarena, Puerto Rican reliever Alexis Diaz, and Venezuelan phenom Ronald Acuna Jr.

A country breakdown has the Dominican Republic with the leading contingent among foreign nations, with 11 All-Stars.

Cuba is next with eight, Venezuela has six, Curaçao, Canada, and Japan have two, and Diaz is the lone Puerto Rican representative.

Per MLB, the eight Cuban-born players being named All-Stars is the nation’s all-time record.

They are Arozarena, Yandy Diaz, Adolis Garcia, Luis Robert Jr., Yennier Cano, Yordan Alvarez, Jorge Soler, and Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

This year, it has been proven time and time again that baseball has no official language: not English, not Spanish, and not Japanese.

There are no borders when it comes to the most exciting game of all, and fans will enjoy a truly international reunion on talent at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Tuesday night.

It will be one of the most thrilling competitions in recent memory if we look at the rosters.
